Truman

Neutered Male – Approx. B/D April 2006, 65 lbs.

Truman is a stunningly handsome Australian Shepherd mix with very unique markings! He came to Pups as a cruelty and abuse case, but has turned out to be a wonderfully sweet and smart guy. He thrives on affection and loves to please, is excellent in his crate, loves to play and run with all the other dogs and gives kisses to those he trusts and loves.

He’s a good solid 65 lbs., with a little nubby tail that wags a 100 miles an hour to show how happy he is! He’s doing better everyday at walking on a leash and is interested in everything in the “outside world”. He has never shown ANY sign of aggression towards anyone, is good with kids and has great focus when it comes to learning new things. He is definitely NOT a barker, and is patiently quiet in his crate until time to go out to play and go potty.

This guy would love to be a wonderful companion to you or your family, please give him a chance to have a great new life with you!!

Bud

Bud

Bud's DOB: 11/2005, male, microchipped, 45 lbs.

I’m Bud, but you can call me BUD-weiser if you want to!! I am a VERY loving, solidly built Shepherd mix, who loves to play with other dogs, loves kids and all people. I walk beautifully on a leash, am excellent in my crate and love to cuddle, esp. on the furniture with you!!

I love to go for car rides and I’m the perfect size at 46 lbs. to take everywhere with you. I would make a great running companion, can jump really high – so you might be able to teach me Frisbee playing! I’m almost 3 years old, but you would never know it because I act more like a puppy than my age – I’m just full of energy and playfulness.

Come by, let’s go for a run or a long walk together and hopefully you’ll fall in love with me and be my new family and take me to my new home!!

Baron

Baron's DOB: 6/7/1999, male, neutered, 62lbs

Baron is a handsome Shepherd mix who would love to live in a home where he doesn't have to be in a crate. He is housebroken, playful, enjoys playing with all other dogs and has lived with cats with no problem. He likes anyone who will give him lots of love, attention and he enjoys long walks and water to play in!! Once you have won his loyalty, he will be a true and faithful companion, giving lots and lots of love to his new family.

Izzabelle

Female, Apprx. B/D 11-12-07

We’re lovable sweet gals from South Carolina.

I’m Izzabelle and I have a BEAUTIFUL soft curly black coat because I’m part Chesapeake Bay Retriever. My natural curls make me look VERY cute and cuddly, which is good ‘cause I LOVE to CUDDLE!! I will roll over on my back for a tummy rub ANY time you want to give me one!

My sister’s name is Arabella (got adopted...woo hoo for her) and she looks more Shepherd with her coloring, but her coat is soft and wavy in the back too (but NOT as curly as mine!). She is a little bit more independent that I am, but she likes being held and loved too – just not for as long as I do!!

We are both very playful and happy girls, excellent in our crate, already walk really well on a harness and leash and we’re only 6 months old! We like to play with other dogs as long as they don’t pick on us little Southern “belles”, we LOVE kids and going places and doing things!

If you think you can resist our adorableness and our soft Southern kisses, just come on over and try – we’ll win you over in a heartbeat!

Midnight

Neutered male, B/D 9/29/07, 63 lbs

My name is Midnight, or you can call me “Knight” for short!! I am a BIG, growing puppy with HUGE paws and the bounding energy of “Tigger”! I LOVE everyone and everything and I just want to see what’s out there in this big, exciting world.

My foster mom calls me “Galloping Galupy” because I never walk anywhere – I go 100 miles an hour all the time because there are so many places and people and things to see and do and go!! I need an experienced owner who can calmly and firmly work on my over-exuberance and channel it in the right direction so I can become the excellent companion doggy I want to be for my new home and owner. Someone who is willing to spend the time doing really good obedience training with firm, positive reinforcement before I grow to my adult potential size.

I’m already 70 lbs. at 7 months, so I’m gonna be a BIG ‘UN!! Because of that, I would not do well in a home with small children, even though I like kids – I’m just ALL paws and legs right now…..and they go ALL over the place ‘cause I’m such a puppy.

I’m EXCELLENT in my crate, play well with all other dogs and am exceedingly handsome and strong (if I do say so myself!!). If you think you can handle my Tigger-like bounciness, come over and play with me – think you can wear me out?? I’ll bet you can’t!! .

Tyson
Tyson

Tyson's DOB: 8/18/03, male, neutered, 48lbs

Tyson is an energetic, happy Blue Tick Coonhound who needs someone to fill his boundless energy level and zest for life with lots of fun, places to go and things to do! He is a go-go-go type of guy who loves to run-run-run and needs that to keep him a satisfied guy!

Tyson has been professionally obedience trained, is housebroken and crate-trained, but was not well treated by the child in his previous home, so would probably do best with kids 12 and up. He's the perfect size for going places and doing things - not too big to take along wherever you go to have fun, especially if there is any type of running or energy involved!

Tyson likes riding in cars, LOVES going for long walks and gets along well with other dogs.

Samm
Samm

Samm's DOB: 10/2005, male, neutered

Samm is a special dog who needs an especially great home! Samm was almost starving when Pups2Luv got him. He barely weighed in at 51 lbs., and for a full-grown adult Rottweiler, that isn't a whole lot. The "people" who had him only threw "some" food in his direction "once in a while", so you can imagine his condition, plus he had tapeworms and his coat was in terrible condition. He was born with DOUBLE dew claws on both back legs - which means he had 8 (EIGHT) toenails on both back legs - something I have never even seen before! Because the dew claws (like thumbs sort of) are positioned on the INSIDE of the legs, Samm had to walk very awkwardly to keep the double dew claws from hooking each other. He was a very sad looking case when he came to us.

Today, Samm is a bouncy, happy, healthy guy, who is just absolutely full of life and love. He thinks he is a 9 mo. old puppy, plays with any toy that will fit into his mouth, follows you everywhere you go - on your left side as requested, takes treats ever-so-gently from your hand (but only after he has gone into an immediate and VERY smart sit!), and goes quite willingly into his crate with only a half of a treat as a reward! He had his double dew claws removed when he was neutered, so he now runs naturally and looks beautiful and free spirited when he gallops around our back yard!

Samm must go into a home that will always treat him with gentle but firm love, consistent and continuing compassion, and give him positive reinforcement and ongoing training to compensate for the horrible mistreatment he suffered. He must always know that love is the way, not abuse nor cruelty - not verbal nor physical mistreatment. In return, you will gain the lifelong love, loyalty and heart of one of the most adoring companions I have ever had the chance to foster - for Samm IS a very special dog.

Samm's most favorite thing is his bedtime treat of 2 scoops of vanilla yogurt!! He runs out the door at 100 mph to the tree stump, wets 3 times, runs back at 150 mph and sits immediately at the counter where I have his "Nilla yogurt" waiting for him!! I can never get by with only 1 scoop, he never budges until he gets 2, then he runs down the hall to his crate for the night!!

Samm gets along well with older children and loves car rides. Samm would do best in an only dog household and one without cats or other small animals.
